Review: Magic Binds [Kate Daniels #9] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / February 19, 2019

Review: Magic Binds is the 9th book of the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews and by now I am really out of nice things to say. Looking back I realize with awe how much more complicated and serious the story became without loosing its specific humor and passion. Most series fall prey to this but not this series – and thank god for that!

Kate has claimed Atlanta and she is trying her best to protect it from her father and every creature with ill intentions that crosses its borders. But her father is playing coy, building a castle just outside the limits, baiting her by entering her territory, sending spies and whatnot. But they both know that this game of cat and mouse can’t last forever.

Review: Magic Shifts [Kate Daniels #8] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / February 18, 2019

Review: I’m done with book eight of the series and by now I love the series to death. Literally. It has been a long, long time since I loved books series with such passion and I missed it. And it is not just that I am so familiar and attached to the characters that I want to know what happens – each and every book is somehow different, it uncovers a new mystery and introduces two more. <3 In Magic Shifts we follow Kate around as she, Curran and Julie try to acclimate to their new life outside of the Pack and the Keep.

Review: Magic Extras [Kate Daniels Extras] 4/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / February 14, 2019

Review: Magic Graves(0.5) or also as we know it A Questionable Client was one of my favorite short stories of the series. I like Saiman, well, sometimes, and I find him fascinating. And I always wondered what the story was behind the ‘friendship’ or whatever it is between him and Kate. I somehow imagined it to start just like this and I had a good laugh as I read.

The story follows Kate on a job as a bodyguard detail – her least favorite type of job. But beggars can’t be choosers so she drags her butt to the only standing tall building in a shitty neighborhood with no idea who she will be guarding and from what. All she knows is that the money are good.

Review: Magic Breaks [Kate Daniels #7] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / February 14, 2019

Review: Oh, how I missed Kate. Why did you stop reading it if you missed her so much, you’d ask? That’s a good question to which I have no answer. But I am so happy I found the time to get back into the world of Ilona Andrews that I am having hard time writing this review.

Magic Breaks is what you’d expect (in a good way) – Kate being badass smart-pants, risking her life and making impossible choices; Curran being sexy and protective and very scary when he roars; the Pack being well, dicks for the most of the time (

Review: Magic Rises [Kate Daniels #6] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / May 11, 2018

Review: I am not sure why it took me this long to write this review. I devoured the first six books like Winnie The Pooh a pot with honey but then I hit a ditch. Now finally, I crawled out of the ditch 😀 So let’s focus on the beautiful 6th book of the Kate Daniels series, Magic Rises, by Ilona Andrews.

The story this time moves to a new location, Georgia, Europe, where Kate and Curran are invited to settle a dispute for a pregnant lady and three rivaling packs. The author’s humor shows in everything she does – the pregnant shifter is expecting twins and each of them is from a different man part of the two of the rivaling packs.

Review: Magic Slays [Kate Daniels #5] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / April 4, 2018

Review: I hated it. I hated everything. Said no one ever when they read Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews 😀 No, seriously, there is literally nothing to hate here. In the other books I found things I hate or things I dislike, here it was action after action, humor after fight, sweet after scary. I didn’t get the chance, I was so into the story.

The plot follows Kate after she quits/gets fired from the Order and gets mated to the Beast Lord. She has her own business now and no clients. None. Nada. Luck finally smiles at her, kind of, when a vampire gets loose from its navigator and Ghastek calls her to ask for assistance. She helps, alright, and he gets hold of the vampire’s mind only to drop it a few minutes later. Something almost impossible for a navigator of Ghastek’s caliber.

Review: Magic Bleeds [Kate Daniels #4] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / April 1, 2018

Review: Magic Bleeds, the fourth book of the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, is pretty much as close as you can get to pure joy 😀 I gave it a few days before I started this review because I wanted to sound a bit more impartial but then I thought “Wait a minute, if anybody is reading this they want to know MY opinion not to read facts and summaries.” So here it is: This. Book. Is. Awesome! Deal with it!

The story starts with Kate who, as you remember, owes Curran a naked, home-cooked dinner. I know you all waited for that moment with your heart beating fast, wondering if Ilona Andrews we’ll decide to make it comical scene or a sexy one.
