Review: Clay’s Instinct [Wolf Call #2] 2/5 (1)
All , Erotica , Paranormal , Short Stories / March 19, 2019

Review: It turns out this week would be romance/erotica week so here we go with Clay’s Instinct, the second story of the series ‘Wolf Call’ by Abbey Polidori.

Instead of the story picking up from where Logan and Sarah left us it switches to Clay, a local sheriff in a small city called Faith. He is also persecuted by a secret organization bent on catching and experimenting on superhuman creatures like werewolves and vampires (so far those are the only two types we have heard of but only have seen werewolves). The story itself expands and now instead of purely romantic/erotic storyline we have a bit of conflict. It’s still very much on the background since this story is more or less about yet another couple mating – Clay and the reporter Lucinda.

Review: Logan’s Calling [Wolf Call #1] 3/5 (1)
All , Erotica , Paranormal , Short Stories / March 19, 2019

Review: Well, well, it’s been awhile since I’ve been this unsure about how I feel about a story. When I started Logan’s Calling I was fully aware what I was getting into – a short, erotic story with paranormal element. Sounds good enough right? Well, be careful what you wish for.

The story started alright, more than alright even. We have Logan – a soldier who served time in Afghanistan until an accident that left him scarred and his whole team – dead.

Review: Magic Breaks [Kate Daniels #7] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / February 14, 2019

Review: Oh, how I missed Kate. Why did you stop reading it if you missed her so much, you’d ask? That’s a good question to which I have no answer. But I am so happy I found the time to get back into the world of Ilona Andrews that I am having hard time writing this review.

Magic Breaks is what you’d expect (in a good way) – Kate being badass smart-pants, risking her life and making impossible choices; Curran being sexy and protective and very scary when he roars; the Pack being well, dicks for the most of the time (

Review: Magic Rises [Kate Daniels #6] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / May 11, 2018

Review: I am not sure why it took me this long to write this review. I devoured the first six books like Winnie The Pooh a pot with honey but then I hit a ditch. Now finally, I crawled out of the ditch 😀 So let’s focus on the beautiful 6th book of the Kate Daniels series, Magic Rises, by Ilona Andrews.

The story this time moves to a new location, Georgia, Europe, where Kate and Curran are invited to settle a dispute for a pregnant lady and three rivaling packs. The author’s humor shows in everything she does – the pregnant shifter is expecting twins and each of them is from a different man part of the two of the rivaling packs.

Review: Claiming The Alpha [Wild Obsession #2] 2/5 (1)
All , Erotica , Romance / April 13, 2018

Review: Claiming the Alpha by Adriana Hunter was the second part of the short series ‘Wild Obsessions’. When I say short I am being literal. Both parts are around 80 pages each and looking back at them now they should have been one book. There wasn’t enough action in each to make them look accomplished apart.

As my first attempt at romance/erotica I am rather happy with my choice. There were some good moments that help me gain new perspective as ti how to write romantic/sex scenes and as a writer I am really curious about that. The book was in both Nikki and Jax’ point of view which was an excellent choice since if Adriana Hunter had stuck to one it wouldn’t have worked out.

Review: Taming the Alpha [Wild Obsession #1] 3/5 (1)
All , Erotica , Romance / April 11, 2018

Review: For those who know me you know I am not a big fan of straight up romances or sappy love stories. Don’t get me wrong, I think the romantic angle is essential to almost any story and some erotic scenes are pleasure to read (pun intended 😀 ) but I will never intentionally go for a story that has only that and nothing else.

In one of my blog posts I mentioned that the best way to learn what works for you, how to write something that is not your strength or simply to figure out what you want to write, is to read everything. Good, bad, favorite genres, genres you don’t like – everything. I am sticking to that notion and I carefully sliding into an uncharted territory – romance/erotica novels.

Review: Magic Bleeds [Kate Daniels #4] 5/5 (1)
All , Fantasy / April 1, 2018

Review: Magic Bleeds, the fourth book of the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, is pretty much as close as you can get to pure joy 😀 I gave it a few days before I started this review because I wanted to sound a bit more impartial but then I thought “Wait a minute, if anybody is reading this they want to know MY opinion not to read facts and summaries.” So here it is: This. Book. Is. Awesome! Deal with it!

The story starts with Kate who, as you remember, owes Curran a naked, home-cooked dinner. I know you all waited for that moment with your heart beating fast, wondering if Ilona Andrews we’ll decide to make it comical scene or a sexy one.
