Review: Lover Eternal [Black Dagger Brotherhood #2] 3/5 (1)
All , Erotica , Fantasy , Paranormal , Romance / June 15, 2020

Review: After the big disappointment that was Dark Lover, the first of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, I think J. R. Ward is growing on me. Very slowly.

Dark Lover was basically plotless (if you don’t count getting into a woman’s pants a plot), exaggerated and cringy. Lover Eternal is still all of those things but, like, on a smaller, more bearable scale.

Review: Dark Lover by J. R. Ward is the first book of the Black Brotherhood series and it is a okey book if you compare it to other in its genre. It has passion, it has danger and Ward is trying to do something different with the whole vampire thrope which is awesome. But reading Dark Lover after reading Queen of Fire by Ryan was like eating plain green salad after eating delicious, juicy stake with barbeque sause and mouth-watering seasoning.

Review: Claiming The Alpha [Wild Obsession #2] 2/5 (1)
All , Erotica , Romance / April 13, 2018

Review: Claiming the Alpha by Adriana Hunter was the second part of the short series ‘Wild Obsessions’. When I say short I am being literal. Both parts are around 80 pages each and looking back at them now they should have been one book. There wasn’t enough action in each to make them look accomplished apart.

As my first attempt at romance/erotica I am rather happy with my choice. There were some good moments that help me gain new perspective as ti how to write romantic/sex scenes and as a writer I am really curious about that. The book was in both Nikki and Jax’ point of view which was an excellent choice since if Adriana Hunter had stuck to one it wouldn’t have worked out.
